AFC Wimbledon have made a bid to sign Wycombe Wanderers winger James Tilley on a permanent deal, according to Sky Sports' Mark McAdam and Amar Mehta.
The 28-year-old signed for the Chairboys last summer after rejecting a new contract with the Dons, but returned to Plough Lane in January after he was deemed surplus to requirements under Michael Duff.
The Quartermen previously revealed that Wimbledon were keen on sealing a permanent reunion with Tilley earlier in the summer, following his impressive loan spell in the second half of last season.
Now, it seems their interest has materialised as Mehta and McAdam have revealed via Sky Sports' live transfer blog that the Wombles have submitted a bid to bring the wide player back to the capital permanently.
Sky Sports have not disclosed the size of the offer, but any payment Wycombe receives will come as a welcome boost, given they signed him for free 12 months ago.
During his time with the Chairboys, Tilley played 13 times across all competitions, scoring once.
With Wycombe expected to reshape parts of their squad this summer, Tilley's departure could pave the way for further outgoings in the coming weeks.
