New Manager, Same Problems
22.10.26, 09:03 3 Minute Read
After a 2-0 win over Notts County last Saturday, Wycombe Wanderers and Tom Hounsell had a perfect chance to build momentum and put the thumping at Luton Town firmly in the rearview mirror. Instead, they threw away a two-goal lead against Cambridge United, with Connor Taylor's stoppage-time own goal condemning the Chairboys to a frustrating 2-2 draw.
For 75 minutes, things really couldn't have gone much better for Hounsell's side, as they found themselves 2-0 up thanks to two superb goals from star striker Jayden Wareham, whilst looking completely comfortable with everything the U's threw their way.
