When the summer transfer window came to a close earlier this month, we were all probably right to think that would be the end of Wycombe Wanderers' business for the foreseeable future, at least up until January when the window reopens.
But in the past two days, we've all been proven wrong, with Wanderers dipping into the free agent market and making two signings in the 48 hours ahead of Saturday's bumper home clash with Reading.
The first came yesterday, with goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith signing for Wycombe and providing some much-needed backup and experience for Conor Hazard, who is currently away on international duty with Northern Ireland.
