Two games into the 2026/27 league season and two 1-1 stalemates against Blackpool and Plymouth Argyle in which Wycombe Wanderers looked toothless in attack.

Gone are the days in which Richard Kone led the line in attack on his own, helping Wanderers embark on an unbeaten streak that ran from early September to late December, or Luke Leahy putting in a late cross against Mansfield Town on a cold November night, only for it to end up beating the goalkeeper and finding the back of the net, sending both the fans at Adams Park and the touchline into absolute ecstasy.

Right now, those days couldn't seem any further away compared to the side that has started the new League One campaign.
