To say Tuesday morning's news of Michael Duff's sacking was unexpected would be a vast understatement.
While results did take a downturn since March, one game coming to mind being the capitulation of a 2-0 lead away to Bolton Wanderers last season, there were positives to look at, such as taking three points away from, at the time, league leaders, Cardiff City.
However, the start to the current season won't be looked back upon with fond memories anytime soon. Five games in, no wins, three draws, and two losses, with Wanderers currently sat at a disappointing 23rd in the table, not bottom only thanks to having a slightly better goal difference than Wigan Athletic.
