It’s fairly obvious heading into the transfer window that Wycombe needed a new number one, with Will Norris and Mikki van Sas failing to impress over the course of the season, although the latter had very few chances to do so.

This has seen Wanderers move to sign Northern Irish international stopper Hazard, who’s spent the past three years in Devon with the Pilgrims.

The 28-year-old arrived in England from Celtic off the back of a strong loan spell with HJK Helsinki the previous year, where he gathered some valuable experience in the Europa League and Champions League qualifiers.

He would initially be signed to provide competition and cover to first-choice keeper Michael Cooper, but after he suffered an injury in December, Hazard would step in and impress.
