Wycombe Wanderers have joined the race for York City striker Josh Stones, according to the latest reports from journalist Alan Nixon via his Patreon page on Sunday morning.

Nixon has reported that the Chairboys and League One rivals Luton Town are the two latest sides to join the race for the highly sought-after forward, sending scouts to watch him recently.

It's unclear what game Wycombe watched Stones in, but it could've been Saturday's 0-1 victory over Morecambe, where Stones failed to score, but his side collected all three points thanks to an Ollie Banks winner in the 99th minute.
