WINDOW SHUT

And there it is; the summer transfer window is officially shut.

We wait for word from Wycombe on whether or not there will be any further activity, but it looks unlikely at this stage.

Thank you all for following the blog. We will be back with an update if anything happens, but if not, this is us signing off!

5 minutes to go!

Just five minutes left of the transfer window, and it seems Wycombe's business is finished. No further arrivals are expected at Adams Park.

FT: Wycombe 1-2 Sheff Wed

Much improved from Wycombe, but ultimately it wasn't enough to take anything from the game, as Wednesday leave with the points.

A real shame as Wanderers put on a display worthy of at least a point, but two silly goals and some questionable refereeing decisions leave them empty-handed.

Taylor Allen scores on full Salford City debut

To rub salt into the wounds, Taylor Allen has scored on his full debut for Salford City.

Oh how Wycombe could've done with him tonight.

Malik Mothersille impresses on debut

Malik Mothersille was taken off just before the 70th minute-mark on his debut against Sheffield Wednesday, and in all honesty, I was disappointed to see him go off.

He certainly grew into the game and looked the most lively of the three attackers. He will be a real asset on the left flank for Wycombe if he builds upon this strong start to life at Adams Park.

First-half: Wycombe 1-2 Sheff Wed

That first half went about as badly as you could hope.

Two very avoidable goals conceded and an injury to Dan Harvie, with no senior left-back in the squad.

The performance doesn't warrant Wanderers being 2-1 down, but once again they're architects of their own downfall.

4.5 hours to go!

It's not been a memorable deadline day by any stretch of the imagination, but in all fairness it wasn't expected to be.

Wanderers have just 4.5 hours left to finalise any additions to their squad or move anyone else on.

Never say never, but nothing looks imminent currently.

The focus now shifts to the game against Sheffield Wednesday at 7:45pm, where we could see Malik Mothersille make his Wycombe debut!

Slow news day

As expected, it's been a quiet day at Adams Park so far; no arrivals, no departures, no rumours.

We have just under nine hours of the window remaining, so there's still plenty of time for something to happen!

The hopes for Deadline Day

We asked our readers how many signings they want to see today, which positions they would be for, and who could potentially depart the club.

Most expected one or two at a push, with those being a backup left-back and a number 10.

Interestingly, Luke Leahy remains the one expected to depart Wycombe today, as rumours over his future continue to rumble on.

Humphreys heads back to Huddersfield Town

Any slim hope of Cameron Humphreys returning to Adams Park looks set to be squashed, with Mike McGrath of The Telegraph reporting that the attacking midfielder is set to rejoin Huddersfield Town on loan.

The 22-year-old scored seven goals and chipped in with six assists in 50 outings across all competitions for Wycombe during the 2024/25 campaign.
