It has become apparent to The Quartermen today that a deal with Ipswich Town for attacking midfielder Cameron Humphreys is getting closer, if not agreed and concluded at present.

Wycombe have been looking to strengthen Michael Duff's hand going into the January window, and Cameron Humphreys looks likely to offer a strong option in midfield for Duff for the remainder of the season.

While Jamie Mullins has started to excel in attacking midfield, both players are also capable of filling in as deeper midfielders, where Wycombe also face an injury crisis with Magnus Westergaard, Josh Scowen, George Abbott and Ewan Henderson all out injured, with Luke Leahy playing through pain in the festive period and Taylor Allen filling in as a midfielder against Wimbledon.
