Salford City in talks with Wycombe Wanderers goalkeeper Will Norris

Norris, 32, is out of contract at Adams Park this summer, and with two goalkeepers already signed in Conor Hazard and Matt Macey, it looks unlikely that he will pen an extension to his deal.

The former League One winner was offered a new contract by the Chairboys at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, but he now looks set to leave the club.

According to reports from the ever-reliable O'Rourke via X, last season's League Two play-off finalists, Salford, have entered talks to sign the experienced shot stopper on a free transfer.

Norris is one of three Wycombe players whose futures remain undecided heading into the final week of their contracts, along with wingers Fred Onyedinma and Andre Vidigal.

Signed on February deadline day 2025, Norris was the first choice under Mike Dodds for the rest of the campaign until the second leg of Wanderers' play-off semi-final tie against Charlton Athletic, where they fell to a 1-0 defeat at The Valley.

Despite Mikki van Sas signing over the summer and initially taking the gloves, the experienced goalkeeper won back his starting spot under Michael Duff, keeping 12 clean sheets in 34 league outings.

However, whilst these numbers seem reasonably strong, which they are, inconsistent performances, costly mistakes and a lack of rapport with the supporters ultimately meant a change in between the sticks was needed for Wycombe this summer.

He's now reportedly in talks to join Salford in League Two, as they look to bounce back from their play-off final defeat under new manager Peter Cklamovski.

Norris played a total of 59 games across all competitions over his 18 months at Adams Park, conceding 65 goals and keeping 23 clean sheets.
