The 21/22 League One campaign was certainly one to be remembered for Chairboys fans: their first season back in the third division of English football after their first and only season (so far) in the Championship.
They certainly didn't allow the heartbreak of relegation to have a negative effect the following season, however- Immediately fighting to get their place back. It was a valiant effort overall, finishing sixth in the League table, three points above Plymouth Argyle.
Beating MK Dons in the play-off semi-finals with a scoreline of 2-1 on aggregate, Wanderers had made it to Wembley, set to face off against Sunderland and hoping to recreate the triumph of the 19/20 season, this time with fans present.
