Michael Duff revealed that Josh Scowen continues to get closer to a first-team return, having played 90 minutes in an academy game, boosting hopes of seeing Scowen back in the quarters very soon.
But an uncomfortable question has to be raised. In a position with fan favourites such as Aaron Morley, Ewan Henderson and Caolan Boyd-Munce all in the position, alongside veteran Luke Leahy, will Josh Scowen be able to come back into such a strong position and continue to start regularly as he did before his injury?
Josh Scowen was a regular starter for Wycombe in the 2024/25 season, where he frequently partnered with Leahy, Xavier Simons and then loanee Aaron Morley, and it's interesting to note that he would likely make a great foil to the technical ability of Ewan Henderson and Aaron Morley.
