A Brief History of Wycombe Wanderers at Valley Parade
From 1994 to 2025 Wycombe have had their fair share of visits to Valley Parade.

The Chairboys are no strangers to Valley Parade, having played at the Yorkshire stadium seven times over the years. Valley Parade is a jewel of English football history. A ground steeped in both tragedy and triumph. With a capacity of 24,840, it stands as a monument to the heritage of the game. And over time, it’s a stadium the Chairboys have come to conquer.
Our first visit to Valley Parade came on 3rd September 1994, when Wycombe Wanderers made their maiden voyage in the old Division Two now known as League One. After a blistering unbeaten start, Martin O’Neill tasted his first defeat of the season, with Bradford City taking all three points. After the game, O’Neill stated, “Bradford City showed us plenty about life in the Second Division and what sort of standards will be required to have any degree of success in this league.”
