First half first phase build-up issues:
On Saturday, we built in our typical 4-3-3 with a midfield diamond, and our full-backs pushed high as seen below.
The structure is fine but the problem came with the midfield not performing many high to low movements leading to us struggling to progress the ball on the ground out the first phase, in the past two games we've seen our midfield start much higher when in build up with the idea for our eights and even at times our six to start high and drop low to receive and bounce to a spare CB or drag an opposition player high leaving 1v1 situations on the backline for us to try and exploit with a long pass.
